Dr. John Kozlowicz, Professor Emeritus of Political Science and Lecturer, (BS Loyola University-Chicago, IL, 1963; MA Northern Illinois University-DeKalb, 1965; Ph.D. University of Arizona-Tucson, 1970) teaches courses in American Government and Politics, Criminal Justice and the Constitution, and The Judicial Process. Although he officially retired as of May 2005, he continues teaching part-time while pursuing another passion of his - kayaking. In the past, he has achieved a number of awards among them the UW-W Faculty Service Award (1997), 1997 Commitment to Diversity Award, African-American Educators, UW-W W.P. Roseman Award for Excellence in Teaching, and the UW-W Saunders Award for Excellence in Teaching in the Humanities 1989, UW System Regents Teaching Excellence Award (1996).

He also serves on the Walworth County Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee.  He is also on the team that operates the Walworth County Alcohol Court.
