I completed my undergraduate work on the University of Whitewater campus in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and minor in Mathematics Education. In 2011, I began teaching in a 4K classroom and quickly realized that Early Childhood Education was where I was meant to teach. During the summer of 2013 I came back to UW-W to complete graduate work to obtain an add on Early Childhood Licensure. I have previously taught 4K for the six years in various settings including University Avenue Discovery Center, Madison College and Wisconsin Heights School District. This will be my sixth academic year at the Children's Center! I finished a complete loop with my group of children I started with in 2017 and they are now in Kindergarten. I am transitioning into a new role here at the Children’s Center focusing on supporting our Lead Teachers in Curriculum Development! I am currently enrolled in Master of Science in Education in Early Childhood Policy here at the University of Whitewater.  I have a seven-year-old (Harlan Rae) who is loving 1st grade at Lincoln Elementary in Whitewater, WI. I enjoy all things outdoors especially when it is warm out! In the winter, I enjoy sipping on tea, doing puzzles and spending time in reflective practices such as meditation, journaling and yoga! This year I hope to help co-create a reflective practice within our organization to best support children, families and staff. I am also looking forward to working in the Children's Center gardens!
