I, Meta Goetz Dreiser, have a BS in Industrial Management and a MS Decision Sciences.  After acheiving those degrees, I decided to go back to school to become a teacher.  I earned my DPI grades 9-12 certificatioons in Math and Computer Science from Alverno College.  After teaching high school for several years, I chose to move up to the Wisconsin Technical College System.  I continued to extend my education by taking graduate level mathematics courses. I still help out at the technical colloege after seventeen years.

Almost exactly eight years ago, I started working at UW Rock County as part of the TRIO program.  As the math specialist, I provide tutoring support for all of the students in our program.  We service 150 students per year. Shortly after starting here, I started working as an adjunct lecturer for the math department.  This has been a fulfilling job opportunity that I plan to continue for the foreseeable future. Our merger with UW Whitewater has provided new opportunities to pursue.

In addition to my teaching career, I have a family that I enjoy spending time with.  My husband and two grown daughters make up that immediate family plus friends around the country.  I enjoy puzzles of all types, from crossword to jigsaw.  I also enjoy reading and watching classic movies.  Of course traveling to visit friends is also an ongoing interest.
